Usually, through the flap.

That was a lame attempt at toilet humor.

The ball goes to the spot closest the call.

Everything inside the lane, including the jump circle above the free throw line, from the free throw line to the corners goes in on the endline. Everything else goes to the sideline.

Zebra is absolutely correct. One exception is on technical fouls - ball is handed out at division line.

Now Brandan question for you - where do you think ball is spotted on intentional foul?

Same spost as a "T"?

You would think so. BUT it is at spot closest to foul. i.e., it follows normal rule. So next time you call an intentional, don't let anybody tell you it should be handed out at division line - even your partner. This is a common mistake by new officials.

Thanks now I dont want to seem like a dummy but could you explaine this more down to level

Sure Brandan. If an infraction (foul, travel, etc) occurs within the foul line extended area, you hand the ball out to the ohter team along the baseline (under the basket)at a spot IN LINE with where the infraction occurred. Stand at where the infraction occurred and walk a straight line down toward the end line. If the infraction occurred OUTSIDE the foul line extended area, you hand the ball out to the other team along the sideline at a spot IN LINE with where the infraction occurred. Stand at where the foul occurred and walk a straight line toward the side line.

Hope this helps.

Brandan - foul line extended means everything in the lane, foul line semi-circle AND outside but WITHIN the 3 point line boundary.

Take a look at a half court diagram and you will see what I mean. Go to http://www.coachesclipboard.net/DelaySpreadOffense.html

Let me know if you have any questions.

Actually, some areas inside the 3 point arch go to the side line, not the endline.

Everything from the corners diagonally to the free throw line, the lane, including the circle above the free throw line go to the end line. There is a lot of area inside the 3 point arch that is outside of the prescribed area for an end line throw in.

Yes, my mistake. Trying to find a diagram to illustrate.

If you find it for me i will be thankful.
