Rec league using NF rules:

A1 is fouled while in the act of shooting, but is hurt during the play and cannot shoot the FT's. Team A only has 5 players at the game. Is Team A allowed to pick any one of the other 4 players on the court to shoot the FT's?

Yes.

I don't think anyone would debate that A is due FTs regardless of the condition of A1. The only question, as you've asked, is which player shoots them.

Normally, A1's sub will get the FT's and that sub is chosen by the coach. At least in some degree, it is established that the coach gets to choose who gets to shoot the FTs. I think it follows, even in absence of a direct statement to the fact, that the coach also gets to choose who gets to shoot in this case.

The team captain or head coach chooses who shoots. See 8-2.

Good point, Nevada. In pre-game talk with captains, I tell speaking captains I will ask them for shooter (when necessary). This shows a certain level of respect for them and I get great cooperation from the captains if I need to talk with them during the game.
