has anyone been over to the official's choice website recently, they have the newly redesigned patent leather shoe, is anyone thinking of buying this??
I hope they come in wide, and really are more comfortable then the old run and refs. |
With all the other shoe companies I always chuckle inside when I see someone wearing these.
|
These ones look like they might be made by AND 1

Could someone tell me a link so i can see them please?
Maybe after that i might chuckle or be amazed by them... |
I just purchased the R6KW-Spotbilt Grid Ref 6k ee width on the net of honigs.com
I love so much the old Avia 800 and the NB606 which no longer manufactured |
These shoes look like they would get warm and start melting. I'm sure thats not the case, but I can just imagine your feet getting hot after a couple of games outside in the summer - JMHO.

I wouldn't wear them at all.

I have a pair of the converse patent leather shoes, and my feet don't get any hotter in those as they did in my converse normal leather shoes. The only downside was that the converse run and ref isn't the most comfortable shoe.
|
Actually, from looking at them, I like them even less. There is too much of the dull-looking sole showing.
|
Again I chuckle. :D
I didn't like the patent leather converse and I don't like these even more. I haven't wore converse since the run n refs. I think technology has passed them by. I don't understand why some people say they don't think it matters whether shoes are shined and then some (I say some not all) of those same people get the patent leather shoes. Also, I know that my shoes look better shined than those converse do in patent leather. If you saw a nicely dressed man or woman in a pair of patent leather shoes/pumps and another in a pair of better shoes that were shined which would you think looked better? I know it is not the same thing but I would go for the shined shoes. I looooooooooooooooove Nikes but I think their patent leather shoes look cheesy too. Just my opinion and since there is not rule governing this issue it is all opinion. |
I have some Adidas A3 leather
They are by far and away the best shoes I've worn, they shine to near patent leather shine, and have 1 inch of foam padding between a shock absorbing heel.
|
The A3's have all that grey or silver on them. Has anyone said anything about the color?
I just got the Nike Air Down Lows. They look great. |

The shoe
i have a pair of there shoes The officials choice is there own design. I wore it last weekend in about 10 games and had no problems with the shoe at all. I recommend the shoe every official that saw the shoe liked it alot.

I still think it's made by And 1. It looks remarkably close to a similar black shoe they produce.
|
What did you guys think of the ones at honigs?

I personally think there are too many stiches in the reebok shoe.
I think the shoe should have a smooth one piece of leather look. |
I think those are not even close to the the at officals choice . I have a pair they are light and no break in period. Don't the shoe to you try it. Every ref I been with has love the shoe.
|
I just don't liek the way the official choice shoes look. That big OC on the side is kidna discouraging too. Packsdaddy, your post is kind of confusing, which shoe do you own?

Aren't you employed by Officials Choice? I think I still have your business card. |
if you are employed by the officials choice, do you think you could get me a deal on some merchandise????
LOL ;) |
What is the official's choice website I really like them shoes?
|
|
Here's another pair, they look decent aside from the stupid silver I on the side. I think they're too low though.

The patent leather shoes look especially good when worn with black velvet pants and a touch of lace around the collar.
