A situation came up this weekend that I was unclear about :
A foul is committed in Team A's frontcourt (Against Team A) between the free throw line and the three point line (In the little half circle ) . Is the throw in from the sideline or the baseline ? I got into a rather heated discussion with the coach on this (Of course he tells me he is a 10 year Varsity ref during the conversation)during and after the game . If I am wrong I will let him know even though it will kill me to do so .

Well, you didn't tell us which way you went in that argument so I don't know if this will be good news or bad...but, the throw in will be on the baseline.

Take a look at your official's manual and you'll find a diagram right before the section entitled "Court Coverage-Two Officials".

I was wrong and now I have to admit it....I hate when that happens !

Just make sure the throw-in is from outside of the lane lines extended.
