Team A scores.... Team B secures rebound. Throw-in player, B5, passes in to B2. B2, still under Team A's basket, leaps, shoots, & scores!!!!.... into Team A's basket. The crowd is going wild! Well maybe just a little crazy...
But as luck would have it, B2 is fouled in the act of shooting.... Team B is also in the bonus.... 1 & 1....

My take.... Since a legal "try" can not be attempted at an opponents basket, B2 will be allowed a 1 & 1 for the common foul and Team A will not be awarded 2 points, since the foul would end play. Comments??

you are correct. However, what if the ball goes in before the contact is made...what then?

Team A gets 2 points and any foul is ignored since the ball is dead unless the foul is flagrant???
