Thumbs up

Let's hear it for the ref who dinged Charlie Villanueva of UConn for intentionally slapping the backboard after a dunk!

I have asked this same question numerous times to numerous folk..."Why isn't it a T when the player INTENTIONALLY slaps the backboard after dunking?" and all I get is, "Well...umm...ahh..."

Thank you thank you thank you Mr. Official!!!

You are correct that this is a T. It is a T before a dunk, after a dunk and during a dunk. Because things aren't called, doesn't mean that there is no call to be made. Hooray for the official!

Called it twice in the past two years. Both times, the coach told the player, "I told you somebody was going to call it on you!"
