NCAA rules for adult rec game.

Freethrow-shooter's last shot gets
stuck between rim and backboard.

Is this a violation or an alternate possession?

how about the same from a sideline throwin?

1)A lodged FT on a last shot is an AP situation.
2) A lodged throw-in is a violation.

NCAA and NFHS rules are the same for both of these plays.

just to add here, if the throw in was untouched then lodged- it is a violation. Otherwise it is a live ball and an AP situation.

I'm not sure of your point. I think that I said that. Am I missing something here? As soon as a throw-in is touched inbounds, it is no longer a throw-in, by rule- and the same rule as a last FT lodging would also apply now if the ball then lodged(AP).

You are right on the button Jurassic Referee, however (no insult intended BossRef) if BossRef did not know the answer to the two original questions, he might not know when the throw in ends.
