From an MHSAA publication:
2002-2003 MHSAA District, Regional, Final tournaments - 1,600,000 Detroit Tigers - 1,400,000 Detroit Pistons - 860,000 Detroit Redwings - 820,000 Detroit Lions - 490,000 I assume multiple tourneys in Michigan which may even include soccer, swimming, field hockey, volleyball. That's still a big number, which doesn't include the regular season attendance or sub varsity games.
