6 million people are now out of their pools.

zebra44 Sun Mar 21, 2004 07:31pm

6 million and one.

rcwilco Sun Mar 21, 2004 07:55pm

I have decided to be mature about it and just deny that I even was involved in any brackets this year.

FHSUref Sun Mar 21, 2004 08:03pm

Brackets? What brackets? WOW!

How about the #1 overall guy picking UAB, Xavier and Vanderbilt? He also has Xavier in the elite 8.

ChuckElias Sun Mar 21, 2004 08:13pm

Oh, the humanity!!!!! :(

Bart Tyson Sun Mar 21, 2004 08:32pm

I had them getting beat today. :D
But, by Washington. :(

BktBallRef Sun Mar 21, 2004 08:52pm

I just hope that UK fans don't find out that it was a conspiracy! :D

May the lowest seed win!

SEC puts up with alot of stuff, they can't help that they dominate!

UK and MSU were 1/2 of my FF, with UK winning it all. Can we do this like the eliminator pools last fall, when Miami dropped their first game to Houston and 3/4 of participants were eliminated (and subsequently allowed to buy back in)? I demand a do-over.

Nope, no do-over for you! It's NIT for you next year! You'll need to do well there to get another NCAA bid.

BTW, you think Blue will beat OK tonight???

I've still got OSU, Duke, and UCONN in the FF. I've got UCONN in a sqeaker over OSU. KY is really gonna cost me though, as my other FF pick. So I live another week.

Relevance of your query

If you look at my NCAA bracket, does it matter what I think about the loser's bracket tournament? Or do you think I belong there, and ought to stick to picking those games?

Of course I have the Mighty Maize 'n Blue over any old bunch of Boomer Sooners. I am hoping they are clanger Sooners tonight.

The only thing better to see Kentucky fall from the tournmentt is Duke.................

Hawks Coach Wed Mar 24, 2004 05:02pm

UM again (and why not?)

BTW - I got Blue again tonight, against Steve mcGarrett (book-em Danno), in case you were wondering. Chin Ho is going home early.

But if they play as badly on offense as they did on Monday, I can't believe they will find another accomodating opponent. That was one ugly hoops game - it surely didn't belong on network TV.

Gee, Coach, lemme see now. Hawaii played a night ago. Now they have to leave that 80deg. sunshine, hop on a few planes, cross eleventeen time zones, land in a snowstorm, freeze their butts off- and then have to play a coupla hours later against your beloved team in a freaking HOME game. And you're worried?

Who set this one up? Bo?

Sound like the jealousy of a fan of a wanna-be program. ;)

This is a Coach K special - remember, we have a Duke guy coaching our team now :)

dblref Thu Mar 25, 2004 06:57am

Having a "Duke" guy coach the maize & blue is why you are in the NIT to start with. Otherwise, you would not be playing anywhere. :D

Hawks Coach Thu Mar 25, 2004 08:23am

I seem to recall Steve Fisher winning a championship (and making two finals). Didn't see that Duke diploma on his wall - he went to my hometown school, Illinois State.

Coach K is a Coach Knight protege, and has been successful. How many Coach K proteges have won anything yet? IF, and I do mean IF, UM can continue their run, I think Amaker would be the first Coach K-trained Dukie to have any championship at any level. Already may be the only one to get to a final four at ay level.

Who knows? It may be the start of a trend, may be an aberration.
