UW vs. UAB referee mechanics

Did anyone but me notice the mechanics of one of the officials when he was trail on the free throw admin? Instead of a hand flick to count, he used a full arm chop with the correct hand and then he raised his inside arm to chop in the clock. No big deal as I thought they made excellent calls (especially all the block/charge calls they had), but always interesting to see a ref at that level doing stuff that would get corrected at the high school level.
