Wow, you guys are harsh on here. You are correct that ref did know a rule that I didn't. Seems like I got off on the wrong foot with everyone and I will definitely not say another bad word about an official on here.

This exact scenario happened in a game I officiated last night. I let the play go and the crowd got all over me for it. Seems like a very misunderstood rule, thanks again for helping me get this straight.

Hendoo,

I'm not going to be as harsh but there is a lesson to be learned from the wise words already printed. You are green but learning. I'll commend you for having an open mind and willingness to listen to another point of view. When you can "just nod and take in information" from more seasoned officials without "yeah, but" then you are on your way to being a good official. Keep it up.

Hendoo, as you grow as an official, you'll better understand the concepts we discuss here.

You'll also understand that we make/don't make calls based on what the rule is, not what the corwd expects. You'll find satisfaction in knowing that you know the rule and made the proper ruling, even when the fans thought you were wrong.

BTW, don't limit youself to just not making negative comments on this board. Don't make them anywhere you go. ;)
