Could you people give me the scoop on these plays........the things to look for to get 'em right. Player A racing down sideline to receive outlet pass, with defender setting up in front of him/her. What criteria must be met for foul responsibility before player A catches ball, and after player A catches ball. Is the "2 strides" of space formula in effect for both?

Before A catches the ball, the defender should allow 2 strides prior to contact. After A catches the ball, the defense no longer has to give time and distance-so any immediate contact is a charge. See case book play 10.6.3SitD.
