That said, the Illini had gotten approval from the Big10 office to where their Orange uniforms, even if Wisonsin was wearing their normal road reds.

Do they even have white jerseys this year? I saw the first match-up of these two teams and Wisconsin wore white with red trim, while Illinois wore navy blue.

Given this info, it appears that both teams were properly wearing their light/dark uniforms. Red is darker than white, and orange is lighter than navy blue.

Who in the Big10 office approved this? They should be fined!

Illinois does have home whites. They just wanted to wear orange because it's their good luck unis (they knocked off Michigan State last week wearing orange). Kinda like Notre Dame and their Green football jerseys.

I was at this game. It was not as bad as it seemed on tv. Bruce Weber asked the Big 10 if it was ok to wear the orange uniforms. One hour before the start of the game, the leauge approved it. One of the reasons Illinois wanted to wear the orange uniforms is because they wanted everyone fan to wear orange to the game. Great game. The officials called what needed to be called and let the players play.
