Team Bus Driver: "Its called reaching in, you should read up on it"
What I said....nothin... What I wanted to say...."Why dont you reach in to your bus and grab the steering wheel cause we'll finish this without you" |

VI remark #474
Technical foul on B1.
Coach A sends in sub to shoot V.I. yells loudly and shrilly, "You can't let a sub shoot the free throws, why don't you learn the rules?" Coach B just as loudly "Hey Mayvis, it's legal, okay?" Note it was Coach B. Not another word from V.I. for the rest of the game. I almost thanked Coach B. |

Coach A asks for and is granted a TO. Coach B says to me, "How long?" I signal, but do not say, a 30. He asks again, "How long?" I signal again. He asks AGAIN with some impatience in his voice, "What kind?" I said, and signalled, "30 seconds, coach." But he knew that subs for a T were legal. Hmmm..... |

Next, signals are OK but you should, IMHO, back it up with full or 30 seconds. This way there can be no mistaking it by either bench or table. |

I hadn't even signalled the bench yet, and had every intention of signalling and saying, but it was noisy and my throat was scratchy and I was trying to save it. I was also shocked when he asked again, and I couldn't think straight. |

I was watching the Duke game on ESPN classic yesterday night. The Lead blows a foul and signals a push. The commentators, "Over the back". This is why everyone says it, because the commentators say it. Someone should give these commentators a copy of the rule book, or teach them something about the definitions and terms of the sport.
On another note, last saturday i had a coach say the following. "He's reaching over the back" It was really hard to hold back my laughter in that situation, but i managed it.
