It amazes me more each day to see how stupid parents can be. What a terrific message to send to your kids.

and the administration needs to be hung also. The story states that because of a rivalry, admin only admitted parents and g-parents.

Well there should have been administration on each side and when it got out of hand administration should have handled it.

And probably the parents were board members also ....

How stupid.

Thanks
David

From KDKA.com:

Parent Accused of Attacking Referee Charged

Feb 9, 2004 4:32 pm US/Eastern
Pittsburgh (KDKA/AP) A local parent is now facing charges for allegedly attacking a referee during a high school basketball game.

Police charged Peter Dukovich, 47, with simple assault, assault on a sports official and disorderly conduct for body-slamming referee Ronald Bell, 57, during the Deer Lakes--Hampton boys' game last Friday.

Police say Dukovich attacked Bell after the referee asked security to escort Dukovich's wife out of the gym for yelling obscenities at him.

Moments before the attack, police officers had to subdue a crowd of about 60 after players from both high schools got into a shoving match on court.

This isn't the first time a rivalry between Deer Lakes High School and Hampton High School has spurred problems. In fact, a fight during the match-up last year prompted the school to limit this year's game to family and school officials.
