Please help with full explanation and ramifications of
the NCAA men's rules changes regarding team control.

As I understand it: no more freethrows when over 6 fouls
for any playercontrol or teamcontrol fouls. Also there is
now team control during throw-ins.

My personal email is [email protected] .

Any clarifications of NFHS rules for this year
are also appreciated.

Thank you.

This is the second year much of this is in effect in the ncaa. And yes, there is team control during a throw in but 3 seconds in the lane and the over&back (backcourt) rules are suspended during the throw-in, making the throw-in identical to the fed throw-in EXCEPT you do not shot bonus FTs if the team throwing-in fouls.

It's all at http://www.ncaa.org -- both the rules book and various officiating memos about the change -- be sure to read both last year's and this year's memos.

Barry, try this link for NFHS rules. It has new interpretations, mechanics changes, etc. You probably could link it direct on your web site.

thanks for your help

Thank you for your assistance.

I do have a current NCAA rulebook
and should probably get a HS book too.

Has anyone experienced any problems
with new rules so I can communicate
problem areas to my rec refs?

Again, thanks.
