Had two games the other night. Same coach for Team A. At begining of game, when B is having free throws. After first free throw, but before the ball if given to player for second, he starts complaining about the shooter being over the line. I'm trail and clearly saw that it had not happened. Not even close. He stops before the player gets the ball for the second shot. Misses.

Second game, he did the exact same thing. Again, it was very clear that no violation had occurred. It wasn't until this time that I realized that this was his intent.
I felt there was really nothing I could do about it, but felt he was a poor sport by trying to get into the opposing players head.

He lost by a bucket full anyway.

Warn the coach, and then call him for "disconcertion" if he persists.

So if you have him again get the ball to the shooter as fast as you can and call a disconcertion if the shooter misses.

Can you disconcert the free thrower when s/he isn't shooting? The comments were only made before the shooter had the ball.

Good point. Instead I'd warn him to cease and desist his unsporting act, and T his a$$ up if he didn't.

I'm gonna do something. I wouldn't let him away with that one.
