Hey TPS, take off the caps lock, will ya? I'm begging you. I don't even read your posts, b/c they hurt my eyes. Don't wanna shift? Fine, go all lower-case. But get rid of the caps. Please.

How many of you in your pregame let the shot clock operator know that if they judge the play to be a pass and not a shot to keep from resetting the clock? In 3 years, I've heard it once. Not to blame you guys, but come on. |
Sorry as you can see I am only in my "40's" and didnt know this was a pet peev. It wont happen again!

"Have you done this before?" The answer is usually, "Oh about 1,000 times". "Good, then you get the short version. There's only 4 times we reset the shot clock, ok? 1) Any change of possession. That includes a made basket. 2) Any time the ball hits the rim on a shot. If it's not a shot, don't reset it. 3) Any foul, including any technical fouls. 4) Any kicked ball. Ok? So if the ball gets batted OOB by the defense, there's no reset. If we have a held ball and the offense keeps the ball, there's no reset. Ok? Questions? Thanks." I realize that there are a couple exceptions to what I say, but it would just confuse matters to bring them up. |
