Question for the ref gurus.
A legal rebound...The offense shoots the ball...it bounds to another offensive player (A) . Who tips the ball to his own player...is player (A) credited with the rebound or just no control situation.

mercury, you don't need a ref. You need a statistician. Most refs don't know the technicalities of statistics. We don't really care if it's a rebound or an assist or whatever. That's not part of what we do. Sorry.

Mercury.... Thanks for reminding us of how many fans really have very little clue of what an official's court/game responsibilities are.


Maybe we should have referred Mercury to the Sports Statisticians Forum.... :D

It's college guidelines, but your play would probably be credited the same in high school. If you're willing to shell out the bucks, the NFHS publishes its own stats manual (not available online).
