It was one of those games that you knew who was going to win before the tip. It was just a matter of by how much and how bad the winning team would make the losing team look.
Aside from the normal pressing with a 30+ point lead, what really caught my attention was in the pregame warm-ups. The winning team's post player dunked the ball at least 6 times... The head coach did nothing and all occured before the 15 minute mark when the officials did come onto the court.
I was there just to accompany my wife, who was covering the game for the county newspaper and I had no ties with either team. However, I have thought about calling the school's AD to bring attention to the coach's lack of integrity.
Any thought's????

In and of themselves, I don't see that these issues warrant the aforementioned action. If however there are previous and/or other similar situations establishing a pattern of poor judgement, lack of integrity, poor sportsmanship etc. that may be a different story.

Fans like dunks.

What does a pre-game dunk have to do with a coaches integrity? Kids like to dunk. A pre-game dunk before the officials arrive on the floor has no bearing on the game. It's not against the rules. The fans probably enjoyed it. The coach probably didn't care. Neither should you, IMHO.

Not much you can do.

Our jurisdiction really does not start until the officials enter the floor. If the officials are not there, then we have nothing. Even if a coach came to me and wanted a T for that, my question would have been, "were we on the floor?" Because there is nothing we can do unless we see it.

In our state, we work the sophomore game, then the varsity game, which starts 20 minutes later. By state mandate, one official MUST stay on the court at all times in between games. The other can go wash up, get a drink, whatever. Apparently a few years ago, we were having a problem with teams cutting through the other teams' warmup drills. This is no longer allowed, and that's why we stay. That and watching for dunks in the time between 20 and 15 minutes...
