So did Earl Bruce once, but are you going to talk about that this year too? What did you do with Coach Cooper? He could not beat Michigan if someone gave him the gameplan, directly from Ann Arbor. ;)

I graduated from Western Illinois and we love kicking the Penquins a$$ from time to time as well.

GO NECKS!!!

Peace

It does not matter. I am more proud of the fact that the Bruce Craddock Award (Gateway Coach of the Year) is named after a coach that I knew personally and went to HS with his son. He died the year we were Seniors and gave our pregame speech to our HS team that his son and I were on when we went to the playoffs after our undefeated regular season.

Peace

Ah, who cares....

You ain't tried football until you've tried it with 3 downs.

In the snow.

In Saskatchewan.

In late November.

Against a team called "The Eskimos"

:D

For those of you who do not know where Youngstown, Ohio is, it is located on the Ohio Turnpike exactly half way between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. It is on the southern edge of the Lake Erie snow belt and the weather can be pretty nasty for football games in late November and December.

YSU were the NCAA Div. II Football National Runnersup in 1979. The Penquins (as the second seeded team in the tourament) hosted a quarter-final game on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The night before the game a snow storm dumped 18" of snow and the temperature at kick-off was below 20F and you do not even want to know what the wind chill was. YSU played Alabama A&M, and those A&M players did not know what hit them that bitterly cold afternoon.
