Refs don't get the kind of "endorsement" deals that some players get. There's not a lot of kids looking at us and saying, "I want to be just like Violet Palmer when I grow up." There's a few, but not enough to make the manufacturers drool.

the reason i asked was because i bought a pair of nikes 2 years ago, and im still wearing them. they are the most comfortable shoes ive ever bought. they are 1,000 times better than the converse. they last forever too. i was wondering what they are wearing now, im sure that the NCAA recommends a certain pair, or atleast endorses them for a reason. the last time i posted this two years ago, one offical actually gave me the product number to eastbay. hope he/she shows up again....

I don't think that is correct.

I have worn the 608NB for three years and finally wore them out. I bought a pair of 609's last year but I don't think they are as comfortable as the 608's. I did find some 608's recently but they are no longer being made. I finish them with Leather Lustre and they keep their shine very well. The NCAA does not recommend anything in particular.

when i bought them they were discontinued by nike. i bought them for 89.00. ive probably put over 300 games in them. they are still as comfortable when i bought them. they dont have any laces, so you dont have to worry about taking a T-out for ourselves. they fit tight, they are the best. but the sad thing is, i dont know the name of them, and they dont make them anymore as far as i know.

I definitely do NOT want to be like Violet Palmer when I grow up. Of course, I'm a white male. I think the life change would be too much for me.

Try the doctor schoels dynastep sport inserts... i havnt had shinsplints since! Also stand on the ur feet and raise the front of your feet leaving the ball on ur heal on the ground... it'll build the muscle infront of ur shin... over time it helps reduce shinsplits.. . but those inserts that I got seemed to fix it for me and my new balances. I like the new balance... they shine nicely... Dunno what I'll get for next season.

If you ever meet her, you just might change your mind. She's a wonderful person, teacher and official.
