Had an interesting situation last night...and it didn't involve any play that I saw.
Was watching the game before mine with my partner in the stands. It was halftime, and we were just "pre-gaming" a bit as we sat there waiting for the second half to begin.
Well, my partner says, "Hey Dude, check it out...the Coach is over there talking to the two officials with a Rule book in his hand and pointing to a page in it." I said, "No way!"

Sure enough...both officials now were holding the book and studying it in a thoughtful manner. This went on for a few minutes. The Coach left but the two officials stayed there "reading" the book. I have no idea what they were talking about, as the two officials did not use our locker room after the game.

This was a H.S. Girls Varsity game.

I don't know about you big dogs...but, I can't think of a situation where you would need the rule book out on the court. Can you?

I don't know enough about those particular officials to make a good guess.

Maybe it wasn't really a rule book, at all?

When I'm on the court, I am the rule book.

Mark's delusions of grandeur are no news to me -- and they certainly don't "get me going!"
