I cannot find a lot of info in the officials manual on this item. How do you stand as lead in relation to the baseline. Are you always at a 45 degree angle? should you ever be parallel to or at a 90 degree angle to the baseline? When the ball comes into your area do you turn your head or body to show you have picked the ball up?

In two whistle I was always told to stay parallel with the baseline and sideline and turn your head.

Ron, we had a pretty good discussion of this very topic a few weeks ago. It's here: http://www.officialforum.com/showthr...3&pagenumber=1

My insightful post is on the last page :D

Looks like you made up for it by it catching it twice this time, Ron. :D

Worked with an experienced varsity guy this week and noticed that I could always tell whether, when he was lead, he had picked up the ball as it was dribbled into his primary by the way he was positioned. If he had the ball, he was squared up, if he didn't, he was 45 degrees and looking back into the key. Worked very well as a communication mechanism.
