What is the NF mechanic (3-Man) for who has the whistle when time expires? I was pregamed tonight that the C will always have the responsibility. Is this the correct NF mech?

The R that pregamed this works NCAA-W. Is this also the mechanic used for the women's college game?

Thanks
Mike

it would be the person across from the table, which would either be the center or the trail. it would not always be the center official.

yankeesfan is correct. It's either the C or T, opposite table.

That's where I thought he was bringing this mechanic from.

rainmaker (and other English majors) read: "...from whence he was bringing this mechanic". :) Darn those dangling participles!

Grammar rule #17: It's just "whence," not "from whence."

Grammar rule #22: It's a prepostiion, not a participle.

Grammar rule #7: When dangling, don't use participles. ;)

:D Thanks. I stand corrected. I got a D in freshman English. But that was 20 years ago...lol

Winston Churchill is, as we say, the man. Here are some Winnie quote:

He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire.

I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.

The inherent vice of capitalism is the uneven division of blessings, while the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal division of misery.

The greatest lesson in life is to know that even fools are right sometimes.

The problems of victory are more agreeable than the problems of defeat, but they are no less difficult.

And some witty comebacks (talk about one-liners!)

vs George Bernard Shaw
"Dear Winnie, Here are two tickets to my new play. Bring a friend, if you have one."

"Dear GBS, Sorry, but I can't make it to the opening night of your new play. However I would appreciate tickets to the second night performance - if you have one."

vs Lady Astor:
"Sir, if I were married to you, I would serve you posion in your wine."

"Madam, if I were married to you, I would drink it."

vs Besse Braddock:
"Sir, you are drunk."

"Indeed, Madam, and you are ugly. But tomorrow I shall be sober."

Except in PA

The above posters are correct, unless you're in Pennsylvania. In PA, we use the college mechanic whereby C always has last shot.
