First, which official among three beckons a substitute into the game. I don't think it is specifically covered in the Officials Manual. I say that the opposite table should (T or C), unless it is post foul, when a sub can enter, and then the reporting official can handle it. Thoughts??

Also, where do you administer a throw in to start a period. I know the book says at the division line. I stand at the division line and put the player on his/her frontcourt side of me. Is this correct mechanics???

The table-side official (T or C) handles it, unless (a) that official is holding the ball for a throw-in, or (b) there's a backcourt throw-in with no pressure on table side (iow, L and T on table side).

In these instances, C (opposite table) handles the subs. In (b) the new L can blow the whistle and "turn the subs over" to the C opposite so the new L can continue down court to be ready for the throw-in.

The inbounder should be at the division line.
