If I had not seen it with my own eyes!

Rec league game.

Offensive team fast break 3 on 1, all three offensive players end up in key player, shooter pulls up getting ready to shoot and there is a whistle!

Lead referee says "B team ball, three in the key!"

Wait a minute buddy (he was a partner before the call but aftwards.... buddy), has the ball even been in the front court for 3 seconds?

Have YOU even been in the front court for three seconds?

You do realize that the violation is for 3 FULL seconds and usually we forget about the first two and have to start counting all over again.

That's a big difference between NFHS, NCAA, NBA, and FIBA. In FIBA the three in the key is three in the key at ANY time.

The two of you do realize that the violation is for one person being in the lane for 3 seconds; not for having 3 people in the lane at one time. . . ;)
