The coaches just love this one. What are your thoughts on verticality. Years and years of hearing "over the back!!" leads all of the fans to think that they know all the rules and should not change. Example:Shot goes up and comes off the rim. Closest rebounder to the basket , A1, is 5'10". Rebounder behind, B1, is 6'4" and when rebounding they both jump and make slight "body" contact (inadvertant). B1 reaches over the head of A1 and grabs the basketball and does not touch A1 when they both touch back down. What would be your ruling?

it's a have to be there situation..but if A1 has B1 boxed out....and the contact by B1 moves A1 even a little bit, I end up with a foul usually.....but like I said it is a have to be there....

DO NOT cave here.
No foul whatsoever, unless you see good, solid contact that results in an advantage. There is no foul for being taller, and having longer arms than your opponent.
