For the life of me, I can't find the NFHS rule reference:
A1 mistakenly shoots what would be a 3-pointer into B's basket. Does it count for 3 or 2 points for B? Rule reference?

Two points. It's not a try. Because they're not throwing it at their own basket, you can't score 3. Rule 4-40-2 and casebook play 4.40.2SIT.

Has to be a TRY from beyond the 3 pt line, try is an attempt at your own basket.

Some kind soul will supply the exact rule/case number.
