Girls' Varsity, 4th quarter (...8 seconds...) , A leading by 2.
A is fouled to shoot two. B calls time-out. Teams line up to shoot and after the first miss, B rebounds the ball and races downcourt where Team A knocks ball out-of-bounds at 3/4 court. B to throw in. (...2 seconds...) Coach A requests 2nd throw. Officials oblige and award successful 2nd throw. [A by 3] Officials award ball to Team B on end line under Team A basket with 8 seconds. |

- Failure to award FT: check - Corrected at first dead ball: check - Had a change in possession, resume at POI: ball OOB at sideline eh? hmmmm.... - Points scored, time consumed and other activity not nullified: OOPS! Go to jail, go directly to jail, do not collect $200. |
2.10.2 It was recoginized before the second live ball. Ok.
2.10.6 consuption of time and resume play at point of interuption. Agree with Dan. Don't give those two a varsity contest for ten years. And they don't get their $200 check for this game. |
Did the Gremlins win, mick?

on the second throw, are the players lined up along the line as normal? if it is missed, is it just play on from that point? or is the lane cleared for the second shot?

Moral of the story...don't forget how many shots your player is shooting when coming out of a TO!

Didn't mean to imply it was your ruling, mick. Sorry. I only meant it was the one you provided. I should have said, "The solution posted by mick. . ." I didn't figure you'd call it that way.
