We also had an indirect technical on the coach. Our scorer wasn't sure if that counts toward the bonus. I told him no. Anybody know for sure?

Not counted toward the totals - see 4-8-2.

Usually the indirect is part of a direct for something else

So, the direct technical counts towards team and player totals. The indirect to the coach does not.

Isn't counting it as a team foul counting it toward the bonus?

Could a team shoot the bonus if it put the offending team over 6 for the half?

Essentially, one infraction counts as only one foul against the team even though more than one person may be held responsible.

The indirect is given only when a direct is also given to someone else. The direct does count, but the indirect doesn't increase the penalty. You give "a T and a half", and assess one penalty, which is two free-throws and the ball. Bonus is immaterial. How's that for confusing? Until you really master the concept, don't even THINK about any of the other rulesets and their various directs, indirects, counts, and don't-counts. Just get the Fed down first. Then move on to the variations.
