Any thoughts on how to answer this one right if it's on the test tomorrow night?

At the start of the game, neither team can provide a deeply pebbled ball. Ruling: Play game, report this situation to assignment secretary.

After late night study session last night we could not come up with a definitive answer for that one. So what do you do, use common sense?

This is one of those situations that's hard to imagine actually happening. I mean, sheez, has neither school bought any balls for the last 15 years!?!? I'd hunt high and low for a better ball, including sending the little kid in the stands home across the street to get his. But if nothing avails, well, you just play with the best you've got, and then report to commish. Maybe donate your game fee for the each team to get a new, better "game ball".

So change it slightly. Neither team has a ball with the Fed seal on it. What d'ya do? You play!

Play on and donate $10 to buy the Rawlings X ball to the home team.

So every time I put an old ball out there to play a game, I can get $10 more? I love this game :)

Ok, but then you have to contribute the $5 to Tony every time somebody asks about catching your own airball!! :D

Always play the game.

If it is round, looks like a basketball, bounces like a basketball, play with the damn thing. Who cares what the markings on it is or how good the ball is, always play the damn game. Do not hold up a game because you do not have a ball that fits all the specific specifications of what the rules require. Play a game in some low income communities, you might be lucky to get a ball at all. Play the game, no matter what.

Peace
