shirts

How are some of you refs handling 'shirts tucked in' requirements?
It's very frustrating! If push comes to shove, can you require the player to sit?

Yes, per rule 3-3-5.

"Tuck it in."

Just remind them to tuck it in. ;)

Peace

Pardon My Latin ...

I just keep on asking them, ad nauseam, to tuck it in, usually during free throws.

However, if a see a player intentionally and deliberately untuck their jersey, they will definitely be requested to sit a tick.

Two exceptions for me, larger players with jerseys that are too small, and middle school teams that wear shiny, polyester, "slippery" jerseys (more like scrimmage jerseys) that, based on past experience, just won't stay tucked in, both always get a free pass (after a discussion with my partner and often an opposing coach).
