From some of Jeff's posts over the last twenty years, I was able to ascertain that Jeff's Mom was a civil rights activist, part of a great generation of civil rights crusaders, leading the way out of the Jim Crow era.

Met her once at some baseball clinic. a very nice woman. Very sad to hear this news.
