Another thread discussed the unannounced NFHS update to the signal chart to add new signal #15 for flopping.
Another unannounced signal update includes revising signal #25 (backcourt violation) to also be used for the violation when a player is first to touch the ball inbounds after going out of bounds on their own volition. |

I wonder if IAABO will follow suit? |
Soooooo in essense ... faking being fouled while shooting could be used to RETAIN possession
Team A has no warnings and the possession arrow is to Team A. A1 shoots a shot and fakes being fouled. An unsuccessful FG results in a warning and Team A gets the ball back. Could be a strategy. If it goes in it counts .. if it doesn't we get the ball back. End of game this could cause some major headaches:eek: |
The other fun part is when a team that is in defense commits the violation it's a DDB and ball becomes dead when the ball itself becomes dead(other team scores or other foul/violation) or team on defense gains possession.
