GCU at Sam Houston wbb ending

Anyone see the ending of the GCU at Sam Houston women's game from the WAC last night? Watching this play live I thought #11 in Purple basically discarded her defender to get to the offensive rebound and should've been called for a foul. Am I right or am I wrong?

Looks to me like the white player lost her balance trying to go into the opponent and fell. I did not see arm action that moved her out of the way. At least not from the angle we were given.

Peace

Agreed.. White tries to box out /. back out purple and purple "pulls the chair" from white causing her to fall. No foul.

Agree with both JRutledge, and bob jenkins.

SCalScoreKeeper: Blue, not purple.

I had a middle school game this past week - purple versus white. Between first and second period purple parent fans politely asked me why I called their team blue. I explained why. For the rest of the game every time I called "Blue" they chimed in with "Purple". I smiled at them every time, and they smiled back. Good rapport with fans that day. Fun for all, just like a basketball game is supposed to be.

My question is why is the C so high (above free throw line) when there is action at the rim?

Common mistake I see Center officials make. She stepped towards the division line to position adjust for the drive from her PCA instead of just taking a step onto the court and turning her shoulders.

In my high school game, this uniform color is always blue.

... and yellow (rare) is always gold and orange is always red.

When in Rome ... do what your assigners and trainers want you to do.

There are some folks who are color blind and can't differentiate all those shades. I know red, white, green, blue, black, gold. Those are the only colors I've ever reported.

Locally we're trained (for over forty years) to use only one syllable colors. To do otherwise might mean a slight "ding" on one's evaluation and a possible slight delay up the ladder.

I was trained the same way: one syllable colors. Now, since my deep dark officiating secret is that I officiated boys' and girls' H.S. soccer: soccer uses the actual color. Evidently soccer officials are smarter that basketball officials, LOL!
