My youngest daughter had trouble for the longest time reading analog clocks. By the time we had her, almost all the clocks in our house were digital.

And she wasn't the dullest tool in the shed. High school valedictorian. B.S. Holy Cross College. M.S. Queensland University. M.D. New York Medical College. Obviously takes after my ex-wife.

Also. Remember this coming weekend. Daylight Saving Time ends for most of us. Fall back.

I'm always worried that I will forget. About sixty years ago my Dad forgot to change the clocks (not sure if spring or fall) on Saturday night. On Sunday morning we all got dressed up and packed into our 1951 Chevrolet Belair Deluxe Sports Coupe to go to Sunday morning mass. Nobody was in the church parking lot. Sunday morning masses were ninety minutes apart and we arrived between masses. This single event left a lasting impression on me.

Hopefully Congress (passed in Senate, stalled in House) will end this clock-changing. Changing clocks is hard on the human body (car accidents, heart attacks, strokes, depression, anxiety). I disagree with going to permanent Daylight Saving Time (as planned). Children living in the western sides of time zones will be going to school in the pitch dark. Let's go with permanent Standard Time, a healthy "routine" for the human body as God intended. Sun is low in the east in the morning, directly overhead at noon, and low in the west in the evening. Sunrise, sunset, and high noon all in perfect symmetry.
