NCAA Men's Rules Survey

From 2022 Men's Basketball Rules Survey:
  • Widen the lane to 16 feet.
  • No longer permit a defensive player to establish legal guarding position in the lane by having two feet on the floor for the purpose of taking a charge. The defensive player would be required to have both feet off the floor and to attempt to block the shot.
  • Disqualify a player on the player’s fourth foul in any single period or a total of six in a game.
  • Eliminate the warning for flopping before assessing a Class B technical foul.
  • In the last two minutes of the second period or of any overtime period, allow instant replay review of potential shot-clock violations when the shot is unsuccessful. (It is already permissible for successful goals.)
  • Allow the use of all numbers from 0 to 99 on uniforms.
  • Further reduce free throws when both teams commit fouls and free throws are equal.

From my high school perspective, makes a sometimes difficult block/charge call more complex and even more difficult.

I'm assuming this is only for defending airborne players.

From my high school perspective, a possible bookkeeping nightmare.

From my high school perspective, take off one's shoes and socks to signal fouls?

Go back to two separate numeral signals, but with two hands?
