Whatever the reason for the call, they should make it public IF they are commenting on it. And when a mistake is made, it is far better to level with the public. We have enough trouble in this country with facts and alternative facts, etc. As you likely know, the NBA has a report for every game, or maybe it is just during the playoffs, where they will assess key calls in the last couple minutes of every game, and they tell the truth.

This is above my pay grade and do not really care in the end. Just saying that Shaw is likely only telling what he is allowed to tell and likely did what he was asked to do by the Commissioner or league office. This has nothing to do with the NBA and their procedures, they have a much smaller staff of officials and those are employees. Big 12 Officials in some cases might only work a relative handful of games and can lose those games in a heartbeat for things not properly done. Those officials can work in other leagues to replace those games at some point. I do not think it is good practice to address personnel issues with independent contractors the same way with employees. IJS.

Peace

I thought they dropped (or maybe just changed) that because of all the problems it caused.
