36.8 left in the half. Foul ruled before the shot. Anyone else think a foul in the act of shooting would have been the correct call?

About 12:30 left in the first half a pushing foul during rebounding is ruled against USC following a double whistle between the Lead and the C. The L took the call. I felt that a shove by Gonzaga caused the issue and that the C saw that from the outside. Perhaps a situation to demonstrate why rebounding fouls should generally come from the C and T.
