I Touch Myself (The Divinyls, 1990) ...

A1 ends his dribble and holds the ball in both hands. B1 reaches in and strikes (only) the ball, hard enough to be barely heard, but not hard enough to dislodge the ball to cause A1 to lose control. Ball is not an any way dislodged and A1 continues to hold (control) the ball with both hands. A1 dribbles. I call an illegal (double) dribble on A1.

During the next timeout, partner questions my call.

Thoughts?

Your partner doesn’t know the rules.

Agreement (thanks Nevadaref). I was 99 and 44/100 percent sure that I was correct. I thought that there may have been a slight chance that some (like my partner) may let this go (even while knowing the rule (rulebook versus "real game")). We do have a few "NFHS rule benders" (sometimes me) with their own agenda here on the Forum. I was hoping that this wasn't one of those situations.

Odd play. Don't see it every day. I was offering some education for the good of the cause. Hoping to help out, with a friendly reminder, some up and coming Forum young'uns.
