Three choices: This is a team control foul (foul in the post). This is a blocking foul. This is a player control foul.

My comment: This is a player control foul. Incidental contact in the post. Defender established legal guarding position and was there first on the drive to the basket.

Early comments by IAABO officials who viewed the video are across the board for all three choices.

Thoughts?

If it was a foul on anyone it was on the offensive player in the post. And I totally agree with the PC foul part of this play.

Yeah. I see it also. Tough decision for me. I ruled it incidental, but my mind can be changed. Didn't like the offensive post player's left arm, but wasn't sure how effective the arm was in terms of gaining an illegal advantage over his opponent. Just a little more contact and I would have easily ruled it a team control foul.
