NCAA Instructional Videos 2020-21
Here are the video links from the NCAA Virtual Clinics; Instructional, Mechanics, Breakout Plays, and DV Embedded Shot watch. It's over 140 minutes of video instruction so view at your own leisure; enjoy during a treadmill workout. ;)
I found the "Breakout" videos the most informative and instructive. Enjoy. https://vimeo.com/453493172/c14040b1b8 https://vimeo.com/450961336/f4ac29eeb9 https://vimeo.com/452924793/548a72f65a https://vimeo.com/455674198/ef5fc25791 |
Thanks. Glad to have a copy of these.

I did not realize they were eliminating the punch mechanic entirely and requiring hand-behind-the-head on team control fouls, as well. I was initially under the impression that was only for player-control fouls.

Doesn't Look Cool ...

Most guys on my local high school board give only a punch for a player control foul, seldom using the hand-behind-the-head signal. Been seeing this for forty years. Our trainers know this but don't seem to want to broach the subject, ignoring it because they know how distasteful and unacceptable it will be to the most of the guys (and by guys, I mean guys and gals). https://tse4.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.x...=0&w=161&h=160 |
I asked J.D. about it. He told me that's exactly what they're doing. The embedded stopwatch thing is cool, at least for those D1 officials out there.

If your offensive foul signal looks like a defensive foul and-1, you need to fix your signal. I've never once had a coach confuse my punch for scoring the goal (and I "score the goal" with a full fist).
