Count the basket ?

Player B-1 at the line for 1-1. Releases the FT attempt and while the ball is in the air B-2 on a marked lane space fouls A-2. The ball goes in the basket. We counted the FT, cleared the lane for the second FT and gave the ball to Team A (not in the bonus) at the endline. Did we mess this up?

Count the basket ?

Nailed it. 100% correct.

Now, let’s spice this up. What if the foul by B2 on A2 happened before B1 released the ball on the free throw try?

Perhaps.
Was the second FT attempt successful?
If so, Team A may run the end line for the ensuing throw-in.

Isn't Team A always the the offensive team and Team B the defensive team?

That's what screwed me up.

I'l try again.

Dead ball. Reset and administer the penalties the order of occurrence.

Do I get to pick a prize from the top shelf?

No. The try was already in flight.

I'll hit 18,000 posts soon, and who knows how many beyond that. I have to maintain my Esteemed Forum Member status, I don't want to go back to just being an Official Forum Member.
