Gonzaga/Washington request

8:35 left in the 2nd. Foul in the post, was the foul on the entry pass, or before/after the shot.

The shooting motion started after the foul. Good call by Mike Reed.

The more stimulating play to view and discuss would be the foul called by the Trail with 9:02 remaining in the second half.

For the shooting foul, good call and not really anything worth discussing. If you watched the play in a vacuum without announcers and crowd reactions, this would be a no brainer.

For the RBSQ hand check, meh, I’m leaning 65% towards not liking the call. Contact occurs with the defender’s trailing arm after the dribbler beat him. I’d like a more patient look here. 35% of me says there’s a good chance T had a better angle than we did, so....

I don’t mind where the call came from as the drive originated in T’s primary and L had two secondaries floating around in the paint. But I would have liked it more if T were a step or so lower at the outset.

This whistle came way too late if it was for the foul during the entry pass. You can't wait so long to blow your whistle. And if you are going to wave off a shot, you wave it off immediately, not after you watch to see if it went in or not.

I don't think there was a foul on the drive, at least not from the angle we have. And, unless the Trail stepped down a lot on this drive, I don't think he can see if there is any contact.

Play 1: No foul on the drive. Gotta be patient on the plays that are going away from us, plus plays going to the basket. Handchecks and body bumps nearly always affect the start of the drive and will be more obvious than what happened here.

Play 2: I have a foul during the shooting motion.
