Fashion Police To The Maximum ...

Man, they take this fashion stuff seriously in the NBA, actually impacting the game, at a crucial point in the game.

They never explained what the T was for. I guess we are supposed to assume it was for the untucked shirt.

According to the news article, it was a delay of game technical foul for the time the player took to tuck in his jersey (the player had already been given an earlier delay of game warning for taking too long to adjust a knee wrap).

Talking

When I read the reports about this game I could not stop laughing because I had two friends that officiated in the WNBA. For all intents and purposes the NBA and WNBA Rules are the same. That means the Uniform Rules are the same.

At my pre-game meetings with the Captains that I expected the players to keep their jerseys tucked in. I told them that you never saw NBA snd WNBA players with their jerseys untucked because they are fined if they do not and sometimes would even invok my friendship with WNBA officials. It always seemed to work. 😁!

If you listen to the players, you hear him saying "he's untucked, that's a technical". Happens early in on the video.

If Chris Paul know the rules that well, he should become an official when he retires. NHL holds officiating combines for former players, so that is something the NBA could do as well.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Chris Paul step on an NBA court as an official.

And I thought some of your other posts were dumb.

Why not? Chris Paul seems to have pretty good rules knowledge, at least for this situation. Bernie Fryer, Leon Wood, and Haywoode Workman have already made the transition from player to official in the NBA, so Chris would have some precedent for becoming an official himself.

Paul is one of the biggest whinners in the game of basketball, complaining about all kinds of things not based on rules. Any player could be good as an official if they apply themselves, but this rule does not make him a rules expert. Sorry, but your assertion on this situation that he can be a good official because he knows one rule is kind of silly. Most broadcasters think they know the rules and show how ignorant they are every time they speak. I see nothing in Paul that shows he would be much better just because of this situation.

Peace

According to some news articles, Chris Paul was reacting to someone in the crowd yelling, "Delay of game".

Maybe Chris knows other rules. Still, my comments about Chris Paul becoming an official were not totally serious. Humor does not translate well over the Internet.
