Yes, L can call this during a fast break.

The C should have this and should be allowed first crack at it.
If the C doesn’t get it, and he seems to be late on this particular play, then the L needs to get it as Bob writes.

I did find it interesting that they both seemed to come out and report it -- as if neither knew the other had a call.

Anyone want them to grab that outrageous final (illegal) dribble that precedes the shot, or is that a good no-call at this level?

IMO, based on the video, it should have been called. Now, maybe ball was loose after the crossover and thus a no call. But IMO, carrying should have been called.

For the OP, the T (new lead) was definitely beat getting back. In this case, yes, L can make that call. Agree though that C should have had first crack. And i also noticed that both reported it and appeared to not know the other was doing the same.
