I would have handled that the same way as the crew did—wait for the offense to complete their attack, which was one crosscourt pass and a 3pt shot, then halt the action to allow the injured player to be replaced.
The only thing that I would have done differently is not run away from the player who went down with an injured ankle as Trail. It isn’t good for the crew to have a player out of their field of vision. The L and C are perfectly capable of officiating the ensuing possession. Keep all ten players in view at all times. |

My attention was immediately drawn to the awkward gait of the official, lol.
Kidding aside, it appeared to be handled properly. Wait for offense to discontinue attack or a dead ball.

As Trail, I'm lingering in the back court to keep my eye on the injured player. Everything else is the same as I've handled these situations.
