Probably haven't heard it in thirty-five years. The only time players request timeouts today is when they get in trouble, trapped against a boundary, on the floor, etc.

It happens so seldom that I often forget to remember the player's number when I report the timeout to the table, almost every single time out is requested by the head coach.
I ALWAYS report the number when a player requests a time-out in case there is a discrepancy later on. Even if the book isn't recording numbers, by me saying out loud, it commits it to my memory.

And so do I, I never said that I didn't, it's just that sometimes I have to look at him again to get this number.

Seemed longer. Fixed it.

1998: Head coach allowed to call timeout.
