Football Rules ...
Here in Connecticut, the only fall sport that's already completed is cross country.
Most other fall sports are in the quarterfinal or semifinal rounds of the state tournament. Regular season football ends on Thanksgiving with the state tournament to follow. Practice can't start for public/parochial girls basketball until November 26, for public/parochial boys basketball on November 29. Regular season public/parochial girls games can't start until December 10, public/parochial boys games can't start until December 13. My first public/parochial school scrimmage is Friday November 30. My first public/parochial game is Monday December 10. Prep school games begin the third week of November.
